Britespan is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager located in the GTA!

Working from your home office, the Business Development Manager will support the Ontario area Britespan dealers.

We are quickly becoming the fastest-growing manufacturer in the fabric building industry, and need skilled, passionate individuals to join our growing team!

Business Development Manager – Ontario Commercial

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our motivated, results-driven sales team who thrives on closing the sale.

The successful individual will be responsible for generating new leads, managing accounts, promoting Britespan’s product lines through a variety of mediums (networking, cold-calling, social media, etc.), and educating clients and prospects.

The Britespan Ontario division is a vertically integrated manufacturer who serves the Ontario market in the fabric tension building space. Our portfolio of project’s include a wide mix of municipal, private, and general building maintenance with commercial clients in Ontario.

Position Qualifications:

Education and Knowledge

· A university degree or college diploma in business, marketing or related field – preferred

· Knowledge of construction – Required

· Knowledge of fabric buildings – asset

· Knowledge of the municipal planning process, appropriate building codes and     requirements – Required

Skills

· A high level of leadership skills, particularly focused in sales

· Proven background in B2B/B2C sales

· Leverage existing company and industry resources to maximize results

· Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks

· Excellent task and time management

· Ability to work without direct supervision

· Proven organizational, negotiation, communication, sales and problem-solving skills

· Able to operate all Microsoft Office programs

· Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Experience

· 10 + years’ experience developing and executing territory sales strategies (including direct sales)

· 2 + years construction related experience – required

· Experience in Fabric – asset

· Experience in pre-engineered and/or post-framed buildings – required

· Experience with CRM Systems – required

Communication

· Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills

· Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills

· Ability to interact in a team environment with a team mindset

 

Responsibilities:

· Close and execute sales contracts clearly stating terms of the agreement

· Contacting existing customers and qualifying leads

· Accountable for monitoring project quotes, identifying timelines and established budgets

· Oversee and participate in contract negotiations as required with end users, consultants, contractors, and vendors

· Able to read architectural building plans, schematics, and construction layouts

· Keep meticulous records and meeting notes in CRM

· Constantly communicate the status of all projects to team members

· Understand and enforce contract documents

· Attend project progress meetings as required

· Liaise and maintain interaction with site personnel including site supers and customer project managers

· Be coachable and adaptable

· Other duties as assigned by senior management

About the Position:

· Standard Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

· Remote – home office (ability to travel to Head Office as required)

· Must be able to travel to various customer locations as required within Ontario

· Company laptop and cell phone provided

· Mileage allowance.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

 

Supplemental pay types:
